Mother Gaia and The Four Directions
There is an invocation by Alberto Villaldo calling in the four directions to create sacred space. Each direction comes together to protect all of the the life on earth. The snake represents the south and the ability to shed our past the way that the snake sheds her skin. The west is represented by mother jaguar who teaches us peace and the way beyond death. North is represented by the hummingbird and reminds us to honor our ancestors. East is represented by the condor who teaches us to show us our dreams and help us to fly with the Great Spirit. These are together around our mother earth, netted together as One. Smaller circles within the larger picture, all forever connected.
